John V. Parker, MD, FACOG

Edmund C. Boulting, MD, FACOG
Edmund Boulting, MD, is an integral part of Advanced Women’s Health Specialists in Lake Mary, Altamonte Springs, and Deltona, Florida. He’s highly sought after for his expertise in gynecology.
Dr. Boulting graduated from the University of Miami in Miami, Florida, and is a diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has privileges at AdventHealth Altamonte Hospital in Florida.

Maria Alejandra Diaz, MD, FACOG
Maria Alejandra Diaz, MD, is an experienced OB/GYN with the team at Advanced Women’s Health Specialists, located in Altamonte, Deltona, and Lake Mary, Florida. She joins the practice with a passionate commitment to patient care, substantial experience practicing OB/GYN, and excellent training. Her impressive credentials and work ethic enhance the care of patients with a wide range of health care needs, from routine health screenings to the most complex cases of minimally invasive robotic surgery and high-risk pregnancies.
Dr. Diaz completed her training at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies, an institution nationally recognized for its specialty services related to women’s health and outstanding educational programs. After residency, Dr. Diaz had a successful practice in the Clermont, Florida, area before deciding to relocate to Seminole County to be closer to family.
Dr. Diaz has privileges at Orlando Health Lake Mary Hospital and AdventHealth Altamonte Hospital.
Dr. Diaz was born in Bogota, Colombia, and moved with her family to Naples, Florida, when she was 11 years old. Her love for science and her aspiration to serve ultimately led her to seek a career in medicine. Her deep interest in and concern for issues related to women’s health made the field of obstetrics and gynecology a natural fit.
Dr. Diaz is fluent in both Spanish and English, allowing her to provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population.
Though OB/GYN is a time-intensive specialty, Dr. Diaz enjoys spending her free time with family, traveling, and working on personal fitness.

Jose Mercado, MD
Jose Mercado, MD, is an obstetrician and gynecologist at Advanced Women’s Health Specialists in the communities of Lake Mary and Altamonte Springs, Florida.
Dr. Mercado received his medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City, Iowa. He then moved west to complete residency training at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California. This journey has afforded Dr. Mercado the opportunity to train at cutting-edge institutions across the country, learning in a variety of settings and from various experts in the field. He is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and holds certification in Laparoscopic Surgery. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
Dr. Mercado has privileges at Orlando Health Lake Mary Hospital and AdventHealth Altamonte Hospital.
Dr. Mercado now returns home to central Florida, having grown up locally attending University High School and the University of Florida. He is excited to give back to the community that raised him and honored to be a part of a practice committed to excellence.
Dr. Mercado has a special interest in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, having won multiple awards within the discipline during his residency training. Additionally, he enjoys the breadth of women’s health from routine health maintenance to high-risk obstetric care. He believes strongly in shared medical decision-making, patient education, and evidence-based practice.
When he is not working, Dr. Mercado enjoys spending time with his wife and their puppy, world travel, and athletics.

Brooke Narsesian, NP
Brooke Narsesian, MSN, ARNP completed her undergraduate education at the University of Central Florida before pursuing her master’s degree at South University where she graduated with high honors. Before joining Advanced Women’s Health Specialists in 2019, Brooke worked as a registered nurse in emergency medicine and high-risk obstetrics. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She provides comprehensive gynecological, prenatal, and post-partum care to patients at our Lake Mary location.

Yamilka Morejon-Sotolongo, NP
Yamilka Morejon is a Family Nurse Practitioner dedicated to women’s health. She earned her RN degree from Florida Southwestern College and her Master’s Degree in Family Nurse Practice from Miami Regional University. Yamilka previously worked in the Antepartum Special Care Unit at Winnie Palmer Hospital, where she gained extensive experience supporting women through all stages of pregnancy. She is passionate about empowering women and providing compassionate, personalized care throughout every stage of life.

Alicia Gamble-McLoone, PA-C
Alicia McLoone has practiced women’s health for over fifteen years. She completed her undergraduate at Florida State University and her master’s program at Nova Southeastern University. She decided to pursue a career in Obstetrics and Gynecology because she was drawn to the idea of being able to care for women of all ages – from adolescents to the elderly – through the various Stages of life. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and watching her boys play baseball.
Linda New, PA-C
Linda New, PA-C has been a dedicated Physician Assistant for over 32 years and has worked in Women’s Health that entire time providing a variety of advanced clinical duties. She graduated from the University of Florida Physician Assistant Program in June 1992. From there she worked in the Women’s Clinic at the Alachua County Health Department from August 1992 until September 1997. While working at the Alachua County Health Department she was awarded The Employee of The Year for 1995.
Ms. New joined Advanced Women’s Health Specialist in September 1997. For the past 27 years she has provided thorough, compassionate, Obstetric and Gynecologic care to the patients of AWHS.
Ms. New is also a National Speaker for Myriad Genetics, since 2009, educating other health care providers on hereditary cancer testing for their patients.
She is also a Faculty Trainer for Organan, training health care providers on the 3 year subdermal contraceptive implant, Nexplanon.
In 2018, she became Clinical Faculty for Florida State University PA program precepting PA students for their OBGYN clinical rotations.
Ms. New’s accomplishments include being selected as one of the top 3 Physician Assistants in the United States in 2010 by the Dorland Health Top People in Health Care.
She has also been given the elite distinction of a Distinguished Fellow from the American Academy of Physician Assistants since 2014.
Ms. New is on both the Cambridge and Empire lists of the Who’s Who Among Executive and Professional Women Health Care.
Ms. New was born and raised here locally in DeLand, Florida, and graduated from DeLand High School in 1986. She was even selected for the “Where Are They Now” feature by Volusia County Schools in 2019.

I love working in the same community that I live in, as well as grew up in. I have had the pleasure of taking care of women in all stages of their lives. We have grown, laughed, and even cried together, celebrated together as well, and questioned why some things happen that seem so unfair. Some of my patients have become some of my closest friends. Some of my friends and family have entrusted me to take care of them and their loved ones. I now have several patients that I see four generations of their family members. Carmon Rosario, CNM
Carmon was born and raised in Michigan. She completed her undergraduate degree and graduate degree at the University of Michigan.
She has been practicing Midwifery since 2013. She has two daughters which she loves dearly. In her free time, she enjoys going to dog shows and participating in dog sports.
Brianne Parker, PA-C
Brianne Parker, PA-C, graduated from Mary Baldwin University in Virginia in 2025 and is excited to be part of the women’s health team. She enjoys caring for women through every stage of life, from annual exams to prenatal and postpartum visits, as well as helping with a variety of gynecologic concerns.
Many patients may recognize Brianne from her time here as a Medical Assistant. She’s thrilled to return in her new role and continue providing compassionate, quality care to the women she serves.

Precilla Bernard, NP
Precilla Bernard, APRN is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care in women’s health. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Nova Southeastern University and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Miami. She is certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Precilla worked as a registered nurse in both Adult Cardiovascular Care and Neonatal Intensive Care. This diverse background not only shaped her clinical approach but also inspired her passion for women’s health, enhancing her ability to provide attentive, detail-oriented care to patients across all stages of life.
Her clinical interests include preventive women’s health, prenatal and postpartum care, contraceptive management, and gynecologic care. Precilla is passionate about empowering her patients through education and creating a supportive environment where they feel heard and confident in their care.
